Responsible for leading a globally dispersed project team for the successful build-out of an IT infrastructure from the ground up in Penang, Malaysia with a multi-million dollar budget

The Project was part of an initiative to build a new medical device manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia and involved leading and coordinating the core project team from Sylmar and the corporate team from St Paul, Minnesota with vendors, architects, engineers and construction main and sub contractors in the US and Malaysia.

Responsible for determining and managing the project budget, vendor negotiation and selection and the procurement of IT infrastructure equipment such as cabling, power and cooling, network, IP telephony, servers, storage and applications.

Project duration was 1.5 years and involved the build-out of the IT infrastructure such as the Data Center, UPS room and IDF/MDF closets as well as the setup, installation and integration of the WAN, LAN, IP telephony, servers and storage.
