Sr. Project Manager and Programmer Analyst, St Jude Medical, Inc., Sylmar, CA 2008 - Present

• Responsible for leading a globally dispersed project team for the successful build-out of an IT infrastructure from the ground up in Penang, Malaysia with a multi-million dollar budget
• The Project was part of an initiative to build a new medical device manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia and involved leading and coordinating the core project team from Sylmar and the corporate team from St Paul, Minnesota with vendors, architects, engineers and construction main and sub contractors in the US and Malaysia.
• Responsible for determining and managing the project budget, vendor negotiation and selection and the procurement of IT infrastructure equipment such as cabling, power and cooling, network, IP telephony, servers, storage and applications. 
• Project duration was 1.5 years and involved the build-out of the IT infrastructure such as the Data Center, UPS room and IDF/MDF closets as well as the setup, installation and integration of the WAN, LAN, IP telephony, servers and storage. 
• The project was successfully completed on time, within scope of all deliverables and under budget by over 20%.
• Planview Enterprise 9 programmer analyst, project management trainer and technical SME for St Jude Medical's Technical Publication department
• Initially brought in as a consultant to overhaul and streamline the implementation of Planview Enterprise 9 at St Jude Medical
• Technical achievements:
• Rebuilt the production server OS and updated and ported the application's database to SQL Server 2005.
• Upgraded Planview from 2006 to the latest version Enterprise 9 and created a separate report server for Business Objects XI for more robust reporting and performance

• This resulted in an 91% reduction of user clicks to process a project workflow and increased project management productivity by 80%.

Sr. Program/Project Manager, Health Net, Inc., Woodland Hills, CA 2007 - 2008

• Was responsible for the implementation of an Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) system. 
• Worked closely with members of the Enterprise Solution Office and Health Net corporate PMO to ensure adherence of and improvement to the Project Management methodology, recommending new or changed processes as appropriate.
• Worked with client business units as a customer liaison to participate in relations building and was involved in business unit strategic and tactical planning.

Business Analyst and Technical Lead, IT Strategists, Inc., Los Angeles, CA, 2006 - 2007

• Consultant in charge of analyzing system architecture, evaluation business process and needs, and delivering custom software solutions to a variety of clients.
• Lead research, feasibility and requirements analysis for the development of a R&D web based seat charting project for Ticketmaster. 
  
• Defined the scope of the seat charting project based on the organizational needs to meet Ticketmaster's projected expectations. 
• Identified and documented high-level risks, assumptions and constraints using researched data and expert judgment.
• Worked and lead the development efforts to deliver a working prototype seat charting application, using Flex 2 and Flash 9 for the Web UI, asp.net web services for the middle layer, and SVG/XML for the data model. 
• Application was carefully designed and built from the ground up to conform to the industry standard MVC design pattern, for maximum extensibility and maintainability. 
• Applications was delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
• Oversaw requirements gathering and lead the work for the re-design of a major ecommerce web site for Dean and Deluca. 
  
• Work included exhaustive competitive research of ecommerce sites of similar industry, wireframe prototypes using Visio, and the HTML design for the core web page used in the Asp.net 2.0 master pages.
• Project and technical lead for an internal Quality and Assurance project that eliminated the need for manual building and deployment of web applications developed internally for clients. 
  
• Project utilized open source applications such as CruiseControl.net for the continuous integration of automated builds and Nant scripts to automate the Source Safe retrieval, build out and deployment of source code. 
• Implemented web based reports into CruiseControl.net to evaluate performance and quality metrics for unit tests, code duplication, and outputs for other customized tool sets used internally such as FxCop.

• Evaluated business operations and identified key problem areas in merchandising, inventory and sales. 
  
• Developed detailed documentation of my evaluation and analysis, which was reviewed with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and requirements for the success of improving business operations.
• Received budget approval to overhaul the existing IT systems in place and was in charge of hardware and software procurement.
• Implemented an all-inclusive third party Point-of-Sale system, including real-time inventory management, supply orders from vendors, customer and vendor management, and Crystal based reports of transactions and sales history.

• Assigned as project manager and technical lead for a custom in house oil and lube management system referred to as "Lubeware".

• Contributed and lead the whole SDLC, including gathering and documentation of functional and technical specifications as well as implementing the technical system: utilized Visual Studio 2005, Winforms/C# for the client UI, and MS SQL 2005 for the database.
• Within only 3 months of the completion of the above projects, we were able to cut inventory loss by 23%, increase transaction speed by 18% and improve overall sales by 12%.

• Built a successful retail mail and parcel, print and graphic design center from the ground up and increasing sales by 20-30% each quarter since opening by providing excellent customer service, high quality products, and business value.
• Was head of planning, execution and management of several major projects, including center remodeling, marketing campaigns, and information technologies which increased the visibility of the center, targeted and defined the market demographics, and determined the advertising placement.
• Built the company website at www.postalcomm.biz as well as a web based mailbox management system that tracked packages and mail received for customers, that automatically notified customers by email when the packages arrived.
